Ruth, Tom and Teresa ~

You have been in my thoughts and prayers these past days.  My sister Linda has been keeping us posted and she mentioned the slide show.  I just viewed it and it is a very heart warming legacy of your husband and dad.  May God bless all of you and I will continue to pray for peace in your hearts.

Rebekah Weber Medi Park Pharmacy Tech July 12, 2008

I have had the esteemed pleasure of knowing Mr. Kelly for the past 8 years.  He was always laughing and had a story to tell.  He always brightened my day and complimented me when he came in.  He was jovial and boisterous.  I even had the pleasure of running into him on the City Link bus when my daughter and I were going to her tumbling class.  He would tell her she was beautiful in her sparkling leotard and tutu.  He had such a big smile and a warm greeting.  I was concerned when his health began to fail in the past years.  He will be missed greatly.  He was a good friend.  I am glad I was blessed with the little time I had with him.  My prayers are with Ruth, Teresa and Tom.  God took an angel home Tuesday.                    Wishing you only loving memories and future comforts,   Rebekah Weber

Krisann K. Smith Citylink Bus Driver July 10, 2008

I am so sad to hear that Jerry passed away.  Whenever I would see him at the transit center waiting for the bus, his whole face would light up. He was a so fun to talk to.  I would drop him off at the top of the hill on Lake.  He would share memories of my hometown, Galva, of when he was a young man and driving through there.

My father-in-law, Perry Smith, got his haircut from Jerry.  Jerry would always comment what a good pie maker my mother-in-law was, as she would always bring him something that she had baked.

We will all miss Jerry very much.  He was a good man. May the good memories that you have, give you comfort at this time.

My family is out of state and will not be able to attend the funeral but they will be thinking of Jerry and your family.  God Bless you.

With much love,

Krisann and Eddy

Ken Bryant Friend and Neighbor July 9, 2008

When I think of Jerry I think of him as a friend. I loved to go to the barber shop for a haircut from time to time and to enjoy the atmosphere that seemed to be created by him. Everybody seemed to have a story or a joke to share with Jerry. I would often be out in the yard and would see Jerry come home from work.  Even if he was tired, he would stop to say hello or tease me about something. He was always mowing and cleaning gutters and kept his property in tiptop shape.  I would would often run into him at the grocery store. I would say he was a hard worker until his passing, and such a kind and caring man.  I know he was a good father, husband, barber and neighbor.  My wife and I miss Jerry already!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Ruth, Tom, and Teresa.
